Hemp Seed Milk

Hempseed
Hemp Seed Milk is a beverage made from the Hemp Seed. It is called milk due to its color and texture; it looks like dairy milk, but there is no dairy in it. While Hemp seed milk is not a dairy product, it can be used as a milk replacement due to its protein and fat content.

Hemp Seeds are the seeds of the Hemp plant, a plant closely related to the marijuana plant. Unlike the marijuana plant, the hemp plant and hemp seeds do not contain the active psychoactive chemicals of marijuana.

While Hemp Seed products abound in different forms, from breads, cereals, oils, and paste (like peanut butter), as well as the roasted or raw seeds themselves, a very easy way to get the benefits of the Hemp Seed is to drink it.

Organic hemp milk is also a great alternative to cow’s milk and those who cannot consume dairy because of dietary issues

To make hemp seed milk you will need a juicer suitable for nuts or a blender, one cup of shelled hemp seeds and five or six cups of water. Combine the hemp seeds and water in a blender. Blend on “high” speed for two to three minutes until creamy. Add honey, maple syrup, dates or other fruits to sweeten it, if desired, and blend again. Strain through cheesecloth for a thinner, smoother drink.
