A Closer Look At CBDA

Cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) is a natural compound found in plants of the genus Cannabis. It is structurally similar to cannabidiol only differing by the addition of carboxylic acid to the central ring. CBDA is produced by the oxidocyclization of cannabigerolic acid by CBDA synthase. It selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 with an IC50 value of 2 μM. CBDA also prevents nausea-induced behavior in rats by enhancing the activation of the serotonin 5-HT1A receptor. This product is intended for forensic and research purposes.
